Suzuki has introduced an all-new vehicle called the Aerio. The Aerio is among the new class of crossover vehicles that are a blend between two different kinds of vehicles. Suzuki calls the Aerio SX a “sport crossover” vehicle, a cross between a sport sedan and, well, something more versatile.

Kia’s seven-passenger Sedona minivan was redesigned for 2006; no word at the time of this writing on changes for 2007 but they are expected to be minimal. The Sedona is designed to compete with offerings from Honda and Toyota by offering similar features for less money.

The 2007 Kia Sorento midsize SUV comes in two trim levels: LX and EX. The LX comes standard with 16-inch wheels, a 10-speaker sound system, full power accessories, cloth seats and an eight-way adjustable driver seat. The EX adds steering-wheel audio controls, a power-adjustable driver seat, adjustable headrests, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and wood grain interior accents.

Kia has added many new safety features for 2007 in the new Rio, some which include dual airbags, front and rear crumple zones, side-impact door beams and an impact absorbing steering column are standard. Also you will find child restraint anchors, an emergency trunk release and height adjustable front seat belt anchors.

The Spectra provides a very pleasant drive overall. The four-cylinder engine has enough muscle and a healthy amount of torque delivered right off the line for getting around town. Unfortunately, engine noise is a bit intrusive at higher revs. The manual gearbox is adequate, but the four-speed automatic does not provide the quickest gear changes.

The all-new 2007 S80 flagship sedan will be the first Volvo sedan to come with a V8 engine — a version of the compact yet powerful unit in the XC90 V8. Cars equipped with this engine will come with all-wheel drive and produce 315 hp and 325 pound-feet of torque.

Buick calls the Terraza a sport utility in its advertisements. It’s even called a “special purpose” vehicle on the Monronie (price) sticker. But in reality, it’s a minivan. The S3 redefines the standards of its class – at the level of a sports car. The sprint to 100 km/h is accomplished in 5.7 seconds, and acceleration is only halted on reaching 250 km/h. The RS4’s new naturally aspirated, direct-injection V-8 is ultraresponsive and addictively light-footed in the way it summons more power and whips up more torque. With 420 hp, the 2006 RS4 will accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in a stellar 4.8 seconds. Whereas the most recent RS, the RS6, had a five-speed automatic, the new RS4 is fitted with a six-speed stick shift.
